Welcome to my Genealogy Page

By a stroke of absolute luck and Professor Ras' generosity, I found that by being Dr. Ras' PhD student I wound up being part of a very exclusive academic genealogy tree that goes back to Immanual Kant. This is how it works: Starting at the top we see how Professor Erhard Weigel had a PhD student, the very famous Leibniz, who in turn had a PhD student Christian Wolf who had a PhD student - yes thats THEE Immanuel Kant. Kant's PhD students and so on go down the line until they get to Dr. Ras' PhD advisor, the father of Rough Sets, Zdzislaw Pawlak.

Erhard Weigel, DSc, PhD, MS.December 16, 1625–March 21, 1699)

Professor of mathematics, astronomy and philosophy at the University of Leipzig. His PhD student was Gottfried Leibniz,:  see Below.

Gottfried Leibniz, Dsc, PhD, MS, 22 April 1724 – 12 February 1804

Professor of Law at the University of Königsberg. His PhD student was Christian Wolff :  see Below.

Christian von Wolff,  DSc, PhD, MS.24 January 1679 - 9 April 1754

Professor of mathematics and natural philosophy at the University of Halle and at the University of Königsberg. His PhD student was Immanuel Kant.  see Below.

Professor of Logic and Metaphysics at the University of Königsberg. His PhD student was Karl Reinhold:  see Below.

Karl Reinhold, DSc, PhD, MS 26 October 1757 - 10 April 1823

Professor of philosophy at the University of Jena. His PhD student was Friedrich Trendelenburg:  see Below.

Professor of Plato and Aristotle at the University of Jena and the Universität Berlin. His PhD student was Franz Brentanoi:  see Below.

Professor of scholastic philosophy (philosophy and psychology at the University of Würzburg. His PhD student was Kazimierz Twardowski:  see Below.

Professor of to metaphilosophy at Lemberg in Austrian Galicia (later Lwów, now Lviv in the Ukraine). His PhD student was Tadeusz Kotarbinski:  see Below.
